I want to start clean up immediately!
1-4) I want to put away some clutters, stationary, media, and other stuff away; file and clean up documents and mails
5) Scan old notes & documents and throw them away
6) may not be necessary... perhaps working on some painting or photo might be a good idea too!
7) I think I can easily make two baskets for mail-in & out-going ones; keep living room nice & neat
8-9) man, traffic is pretty bad on behind of my desk; wants to clean up some wiring
10) It will keep the magazines organized

12) I got all the gadgets; haven't wired them yet - perhaps give to mom & dad

WISDOM FROM THE SPIRIT
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature,

I opened up the book to find the answers and ways to fulfill my personal goals, just like I did last time. Instead, it reminds me that it is not about me and my focus is way off. This is why I cannot find what I search for.

REYE'S SYNDROME

Reye's syndrome is a combination of acute encephalopathy and fatty infiltration of the internal organs that may follow acute viral infection. This syndrome has been associated with influenza B, chickenpox (varicella), the enteroviruses, and the Epstein-Barr virus.
It usually affects people under 18 years of age, characteristically causing an exanthematous rash, vomiting, and confusion about 1 week after the onset of a viral illness. In the late stage there may be extreme disorientation followed by coma, sz, and respiratory arrest.
Lab test reveal greater than normal amounts of SGOT and SGPT, bilirubin, and ammonia in the blood. A specimen obtained by liver biopsy shows fatty degeneration and confirms the Dx.
Mortality varies between 20-80%, depending on the severity of sx.
The cause of Reye's syndrome is unknown; however, there appears to be an association with the administration of aspirin (ASA). Therefore aspirin is given only if prescribed by a physician for any condition in infants or children. Aspirin should not be given in cases of chickenpox or suspected influenza.
No specific tx is available. Insulin, antibiotics, and mannitol may be given.
Blood gases, blood pH, and BP are monitored frequently. Intensive supportive nrsg care with meticulous monitoring of all vital functions and prompt correction of any imbalance are extreme significance in the outcome of this syndrome.

REITER'S SYNDROME

Reiter's syndrome is an arthritic disorder predominantly of adult males, resulting from infection with Shigella flexneri, Salmonella, Yersinia, or Chlamydia or from enterocolitis.
It most often affects the ankles, feet, and sacroiliac joints and is usually associated with conjunctivitis and urethritis.
The onset may be marked by unexplained diarrhea and low grade fever, followed in 2 to 4 weeks by conjunctivitis. Superficial ulcers may form lesions on the palms and the soles. Arthritis usually persists after the conjunctivitis and urethritis subside, but it may become episodic.
Tx includes a short course of tetracycline to tx the infection and phenylbutazone to relieve pain and inflammation in the joint. Sexual partners should also be tested. Recovery is expected, but recurrent arthritic symptoms may continue for several years.

JESHURUN
"BUT NOW listen, O Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.
This is what the LORD says -
he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you:
Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
(Isaiah 44:1-2)
I was reading Isaiah this morning and noticed the word Jeshurun. Even the Blogger spell check underline this word in red. I began to ponder, "O Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen," is Jeshurun another name for Jacob? I haven't heard of that. Is this another person besides Jacob? I'm too lazy to go back and search through the scripture. Well, this is when the the friendly wikipedia comes in handy.
According to the wiki, Jeshurun is a poetic name for Israel. It also may refer to the people of Israel, the land of Israel, or Jacob (as in Isaiah 44:2). Wiki adds to this and explains that the word Jeshurun roots from the Hebrew word yesharim, which means "upright," often refer to the people of Israel.
